Common name: Sand Shell
Binomial name: Transvenitesta Obcultatioharenae
Creator: Burger Cat
Ancestor: Armostar
Size: 6 mm long, 8 mm wide
Diet: Omnivorous
Habitat: Zone 1-5 through hiding in the sand based habitats
Reproduction: Hermaphroditic sexual reproduction via the production of free-floating eggs and sperm into the open ocean to hatch into larvae.
Description: The Sand Shell have developed sand based camoflague to hide from the increased amounts of vision-based predators that have been developing and will bury themselves into the sand to hide. Sand shells were the first creatures to develop sexual reproduction via releasing sperms and eggs into the open water to develops into microscopic shell less free-floating larvae that is part of the plankton food chain. Sand shells have developed tendrils to more easier to travel to new areas and allow them to grasp onto rougher surfaces to climb on to new areas. The Sand Shells have grown two tooth plates to chew into decaying matter and bite onto living prey if they do get the chance of catching onto slower organisms.

Common name: Curling Star.
Binomial name: Armistesta volvater.
Creator: White Parrot.
Ancestor: Armostar.
Size: 6mm long, 5mm wide.
Diet: opportunistic scavenging omnivore.
Habitat: zones 1 to 5.
Reproduction: asexual budding. They grow a new shell inside their back, then shed their old shell and the flesh beneath as a new organism.
Description: Armostars perceives the world through olfactive spots on their exposed back; in Curling Stars, this body part has split into a pair of sensory tentacles that curve back to taste water on the sides of their body, but can quickly be retracted beneath the enlarged shell on their back. Moreover, panicked Curling Stars can quickly press the front and back of their underside together, snapping into an approximate ball of chitin able to deflect blows they couldn't necessarily endure if taken straight on. The protection isn't perfect (it leaves open the holes through which the sensory tentacles come out), but is enough to reliably counter clumsy and untargeted assaults.

Common Name: Dissolving Worm
Binomial Name: Flaporous Meltanitus
Creator: Guineapig004
Ancestor: Parvermis Toxititus
Size: 8 millimeters long, and 2 millimeters thick.
Diet: Omnivorous.
Habitat: Zones 1-4 Wherever there are plants and animals.
Reproduction: Asexual
Description: This worm has a small organ inside of it which produces hydrogen sulfide. This then can be injected into plants, or animals, which allows it to dissolve them from the inside. For additional speed, it has developed additional paddles on its sides. These allow it to increase its speed, and its maneuverability. It also has developed primitive chemical sensory pores, which allow it to detect commonly created waste products. This allows it to track other animals.

"Dissolving Worm"

What about it gives it that name, out of curiosity?

Ah, it kept the traits of its ancestors, do you want me to add them into the description?

(Its ancestors were the worms with hydrogen sulfide.)

Common Name: Sponge Bloater
Binomial Name: Herbaglobus Mareradix
Creator: Burger Cat
Ancestor: Simplaherba virdbulla
Size: 7 mm tall, 7 mm wide
Diet: Photosynthesis
Habitat: Zone 1, Zone 2-5 by floating into the zones of 2-5 with their newly adapted roots to absorb nutrient from the water.
Reproduction: Asexual reproduction by releasing spores into the water that will be similar to that of floating algae.
Description: The Sponge Bloater have taken a huge step in evolution for plants by evolving two separate apdations being the gas bladder and roots. The sponge bloater have a gas bladder that contain a mixture of helium and hydrogen to keep itself afloat on the ocean waves and allowing it to absorb the as much sunlight as possible. The texture of the sponge bloater is dark green porous outer layer that allows it to float more better and a stretchy inner layer of skin that keeps in the important gas bladder and moisture. The roots of the sponge bloater are very important and being the very first of their type, allowing the sponge bloater to properly absorb nutrient from the water directly into the bloater inner skin layer.

Common Name: Floating Aggregate
Binomial Name: Herbaglobus iungo
Creator: Naturegirl1999
Ancestor: Herbaglobus Mereradix
Description: Similar to the Sponge Bloater, except that the offspring are connected via the roots which allowing nutrient sharing and also transmission of genes.
Reproduction:Hermaphroditic and asexual. Asexual reproduction is the same as its ancestor except that it stays connected with roots, hermaphroditic reproduction can occur between connected individuals via each one sending a membrane bound haploid nucleus to the other. The membranes combine, and the nuclei combine to form a diploid cell. This happens in a connection root when they meet, causing a new individual to grow between roots, recieving nutrients from both parents. The new individual has genetic information from both parents. Variation in genetics may allow for disease resistance.
Havitats:Zones 1-5
I'm gonna put the last thing I copied here. Will change each time I visit for variety

Well, here is another species!

Common name: Axle Stalk.
Binomial name: Heigherb virgatribosis.
Creator: White Parrot.
Ancestor: Iron Stalk (Heigherb iroba).
Size: 8mm wide, approx. 10cm tall.
Diet: photosynthesis.
Habitat: zones 1-5.
Reproduction: asexual.
Description: the Axle Stalk furthered the use of the iron-based backbone inherited from its ancestor. This species now presents, at regular intervals, small limbs perpendicular to their main axis, supported by their own expansion of the iron axis. These appendages further improves the photosynthetic surface, but are also present underground, where they greatly stabilize the organism as a whole, allowing for greater vertical growth without risk of being felled. The iron spines still represent a useful physical and chemical defence against most herbivores.

If anyone is interested, I wrote a quick and dirty program to draw a sort of cladogram from a database where I store data about this game, so I should be able to generate a tree at about anytime. :geek:

Great! Can we see the current one? (Probably will add another species by the end of the week.)

As you can see, I used the binomial names, mainly because it feels more serious. :P I can put common names instead, if you prefer.
