After almost a week, Wasashi returns, sorely wounded, missing most of his weapons, their armor torn to peices. On his shoulders he carries a nearly-dead Xing; the trial was just too much for his old age. Silently, Wasashi Lays Xing down in the town square, and throws a dismembered black forearm at the feet of Xijin. The forearm is covered in oily black skin, dripping with black blood, and has two long claws extending from it's wrists instead of hands and fingers. Wasashi says no more. He appears to be shell-shocked. Whether this counts as absolution for Ains' death is up to Xijin.
