Rudolfensis start smoking meat/fish/fruit to preserve over the harsh winters

Saharan Boisei become larger and stronger to better fight

Sediba become nocturnal to avoid other hominids

Rudolfensis should hopefully stabilize enough for me to get them over to the new world next turn

Boisei have some space to git gud at stabbing

Maybe this'll help sediba

Sediba steal spears from neighboring hominids

I'm not totally sure what sediba's issue is, but weapons help hunt and keep out other hominids so it'll probably help.
From what I was aware, we are in the Oldowan and Acheulean stages of tools. Composite tools like spears, iirc, don't exist. They'd be stealing sharpened rocks and perhaps pointy sticks, but not multi-part spears.

Also I recommend you specify which group of Boisei, Saharan or East African, if you want to avoid your vote getting skipped like mine was last turn.

Pointy sticks are spears in spirit

Also should probably specify which population of Rudolfensis you are referring to as well.

There's only one left.

Is my Boisei vote enough for them to speciate?

If it isn’t, then mine certainly is.

Sediba's problem is that there is always someone who can do what they do, but better. Quite frankly they need a lot of catch up, or a different niche that other hominids won't/can't access.

Nope and nope. They are approaching that point, but not yet. Species delineation in hominids is really contentious. Like while Ergaster and erectus are treated as separate here, Many consider them one in the same, and that ergaster is just African populations of erectus. So I'm having to play this really carefully, because the variation in hominids is off the charts. Like when erectus/ergaster first appeared, they had cranial capacities of ~600 cc. By the time this group went extinct, it was about 1000 cc. And we have enough remains from the nearly 2 millions years they lived, to know that they continuously existed in a spectrum.

So my vote to give Saharan Boisei literal SCALES isn’t going to cause them to be genetically incompatible with the East African Boisei?

Nope. Gets them well on the way though. If the homo genus was the standard for hominae, then our entire genus was basically a giant evolutionary orgy. Like Homo sapiens basically banged everything. or more accurately, got banged by everything else, since all of our mitochondrial DNA is clearly our own.
