Bug with species eating habits

I've noticed, like many others, that many herbivores will never eat grass. When an animal is about to starve, it looks towards a tree really far away and spends the rest of it's energy trying to get there. It doesn't take a second glance at the squares of grass beneath its feet. It might be an intelligence problem, but in my opinion the creatures might need a variable that makes them desperate to eat anything. I really love this game !
