Name says it all, this is a thread to post pictures of the most awesome creatures you had evolve. For me it was probably the Salamanders. Normally the creatures share the same basic shape(the wormlike body from the beginning of the game) with added features, yet these creatures were totally different.
As you can see, they kinda look like salamanders.
Also... this is how the baby's look

I'm really loving this simulation and can't wait until the cladogram lag issue is resolved.
Here are some of my favorite beasties:

And one more, an extra-wide carnivore. Do you think this wide surface increases the contact area with potential prey items?

Sorry, but I couldn't resist post a couple more both of which evolved from the green gut above.

Oh man, the omni thing is soooo trippy.
Maybe the wide-carn is just ultra-buff.

At this point, we shouldn't be surprised by anything nature does. She's like a meth addict whose drug-fueled rampages unfold in slow motion and span millions of years.

This is probably the most awesome creature to evolve for me, Though this map is pretty crazy by itself. J. derxinus is probably on of the most normal creatures statwise. Most have vision that allows them to see much farther than this. A few minutes before this, there was one creature that could see the entire map without turning its head. Most have stamina much higher than this guys, I saw one with stamina at 192. Speed varied, but all were much faster than the rover, which is supposed to pick off herbivores in an attempt to encourage carnivores to evolve. It failed. I'm pretty sure most of these species evolved in the way they did so they can get to the few grass trees or carcasses that grow (because I set the fertility sensitivity to 2.) before any other creature. I have seen a few that were actively hunting, but the majority ran at ridiculous speeds across the desert.

It seems strange that your largest species only have 4 or 5 organisms. Do yo think this is because of your fertility settings?

Not sure, Probably a mix of that and the rover catching any that stop moving. It also could be that I have my speciation level at 10 and my mutation rate at 2.
