In a couple of hours I'll be able to report what it feels like from the ground. As of right now, it is calm before the storm.

Stay alive, and of course, let everyone else take the cool videos of the storm surge. Hope nobody dies, but that's extremely unlikely. Also, for tips on how to survive storm surge, contact tsunami survivors, which survived practically the same thing.

WELP, I in no way endorse you risking your life like this.
Re: Perfect Typhoon
Well, I now live here, so there's no way to avoid it anyway. However, I can say that the wind and rain are not as strong as I'd imagine right now, since it went through a giant mountain range on the other side of the island first.20 characters! wrote:WELP, I in no way endorse you risking your life like this.

Really? You have no car, horse, money or access to a boat in any way shape or form and your legs are broken, and you lack prosthetics?counting wrote:Well, I now live here, so there's no way to avoid it anyway. You completley and utterly lack the means to even attempt to flee should your house, mansion, hovel, cottage, cave, hallowed out tree/and or other dwelling flood?
I feel bad for you.

Re: Perfect Typhoon
Actually the safest place during a typhoon is always inside the house. These building code in typhoon rich area has already considered the potential hazard. The buildings here are probably the toughest considering there are annual typhoon, and regular earthquakes, and excellent draining to prevent flood due to annual rain fall exceeding 2500mm. Almost all casualties happened outside.20 characters! wrote:Really?
