Exactly. Creatures with the same mindset naturally frequent the same zones (since they find the same advantages there), but they currently have no notion of a group. It's more of a limitation in the program that is supposed to be fixed relatively soon. You see, water increases fertility (if you got 3x speed and look at the map you can see fertility 'pulses') which means the animals are eating grass that's constantly growing, which... allows them to be lazy. Crash on creature evolution

Not sure what the cause is, as it doesn't leave a popup. but if you wait about a minute on this save (maybe three or four) a creature evolves (usually called priumum spital, but occasionally something else)

and the game crashes.

Your mouse will appear to go behind it, but if you pretend it's on top you can infact still drag a highlight over it.
